Denmark produced an emphatic response on matchday two of the UEFA Nations League, dispatching Wales 2-0 with two second-half goals to keep up the chase with Portugal and Norway in Group A4.
Following a 3-2 defeat by Norway in their opening fixture, the Danes secured immediate redemption at Copenhagen’s Parken Stadium to claim their first win of the campaign. Conversely, the visitors remain empty-handed, yet to register a point or find the back of the net following their step up to the top tier.
An own goal gifted Denmark the breakthrough before Gustav Isaksen made the points safe just past the hour mark, having earlier seen a first-half strike ruled out. The only negative note for the hosts came when Manchester United wing-back Patrick Dorgu was forced off with an injury after just half an hour.
