Florentino Perez is navigating turbulent waters as president of Real Madrid.
On Thursday, during the clash with Real Oviedo, frustration among some supporters was palpable in the stands of the Santiago Bernabeu.
Banners calling for his resignation were unfurled, and a heated exchange erupted near the presidential box.
At one stage, the television broadcast captured stadium security stepping in to remove one of the two signs criticising the president.
One banner read “Florentino, leave now”, while the other declared “Florentino blamed”.
