According to French outlet L’Equipe, Paris Saint-Germain have been forced to change their pre-match plans ahead of their Champions League clash with Bayern Munich, following an unexpected hotel stand-off in Munich.
The French side had hoped to return to familiar surroundings that previously brought them good fortune, but those plans have now been scrapped.
PSG initially intended to stay at the Infinity Hotel & Conference Resort, the same venue they used before last season’s final against Inter Milan. However, the hotel has long been Bayern’s regular base, and the German club were unwilling to make any concessions.
Bayern manager Vincent Kompany made the club’s stance clear, insisting there was no possibility of vacating or even sharing the venue. “It’s our hotel. There’s no question of leaving it to the Parisians. And even less of sharing multiple floors. It’s our city, it’s our home game, so there’s nothing to negotiate.”
As a result, PSG will now stay at an alternative location in the city, adjusting their preparations accordingly. While the change may disrupt their preferred routine, the focus will quickly shift back to the pitch as both sides prepare for a high-profile European encounter.
