Lamine Yamal has broken his silence after missing out on the 2026 Ballon d’Or, insisting that his time will come as the Barcelona youngster sets his sights on winning the prestigious award in the future.
“It will come. Good things take time, and I trust the path I am building. No rush, just excitement and the calm certainty that my time will come one day,” posted Lamine Yamal alongside an image of him collecting the Kopa Trophy for best young player.
The FC Barcelona winger claimed the Bronze Ball after finishing third behind 2026 Ballon d’Or recipient Harry Kane and runner-up Kylian Mbappe.
“Congratulations to the winners. My focus is back on what matters: helping Barcelona win again,” Lamine Yamal concluded.
