According to ‘AS’, the forward’s current agreement, signed in 2022, runs until 2027 and sees him pocketing around 15 million euros net per campaign—totalling 75 million across five seasons in a progressive deal. After initially holding out for 30 million, the number ‘7’ has lowered his demands to 20 million. Nevertheless, major sticking points persist, most notably regarding his image rights, which he currently shares with the club in accordance with Real Madrid’s standard policy.
Vinicius is reportedly seeking the lion’s share of these commercial revenues, mirroring the lucrative arrangement enjoyed by Kylian Mbappe. Discussions have also touched upon a potential renewal bonus, a financial commitment Real Madrid are refusing to entertain.
While the Brazilian’s primary ambition is to stay, both parties remain poles apart on several fundamental issues.
