Barcelona will return to the normality of La Liga’s financial fair play under the 1:1 rule. According to ‘Sport’, Javier Tebas has informed Joan Laporta of the reason why the club will be able to register players in the summer transfer window.

Barcelona will be able to operate in the summer transfer market under the 1:1 financial fair play rule imposed by LaLiga, according to sources at the club. The confirmation of this, advanced by the newspaper ‘Sport’, will be a relief for the future plans of the club, especially with regard to the registration of Joan Garcia, the only signing made so far, as well as the possible renewals planned: Frenkie de Jong or Eric Garcia.

It would also be a guarantee to unravel the operation for Nico Williams, after different reports have referred to the fact that the striker has asked for written guarantees to be registered before giving his definitive yes to sign for Barcelona. According to ‘Sport’, which has not been confirmed by ‘EFE’, it was the president of La Liga himself, Javier Tebas, who informed Barcelona president Joan Laporta of the 1:1.

The Catalan giants had announced that they would be able to return to normal operations in the market after the good financial news provided by last year’s figures, with a revenue of 950 million euros, above the 893 million euros budgeted.

However, everything was still at the expense of Barcelona’s auditing company (Crowe) accepting as revenue the 100 million for which the Catalan club had ceded the 475 VIP seats to the companies Forta Advisors Limited and New Era Visionary Group for 30 years.

This operation allowed Barcelona to register Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor in January, after having received 58 million euros in advance, as well as the new contracts of Pedri, Gavi and Ronald Araujo. Weeks later, the aforementioned auditor (Crowe) changed his report when he considered that the VIP seats in the new stadium had not been built and could not be accounted for.

For this reason, the Catalan club was again left out of the 1:1 rule and had to urge the Turkish stadium builder, Limak, to speed up the installation of the seats before 30th June so that the amount received could be counted in the accounting year. Once Crowe has given the go-ahead again, the revenue will be recorded in the balance sheet and sent to La Liga for official confirmation of Barcelona’s return to 1:1.
