On Sunday, Robert Lewandowski gave an interview to Bild where he reflected on his season. The striker has admitted he’s not concerned by rumours about his future as his sole focus remains on Barcelona.
Lewandowski has been one of the standout figures in Barcelona’s successful season. The Polish forward finished as the club’s top scorer with 42 goals, contending for both the Pichichi award and the European Golden Shoe until the very end.
Taking advantage of his time off, he sat down with Bild to review his campaign. “I’ve won more than 30 titles in my career. But I’m ready for more,” he began.
He also emphasised how good he feels physically despite being 36 years old: “Physically, I feel very strong. I’ve got six or seven weeks off now and I’ll fully recover. At the moment, my biological age is 30. I think that’s not too bad. It matches how I feel.”
Lewandowski was clear about his future: “I’m not worried in the slightest. I’ll definitely stay next season. Right now, Barcelona are the only club on my mind.” Finally, the Pole left a message of motivation for the next campaign: “Our team will be even better next season.”
