Following a tumultuous period of uncertainty, Barcelona’s Dani Olmo and Pau V\u00edctor have been officially reregistered with LaLiga, ending a saga that threatened to derail the club’s season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La Liga has officially confirmed the reinstatement of Dani Olmo and Pau V\u00edctor to Barcelona’s squad, bringing an end to a contentious registration dispute. The decision comes after the Spanish Sports Council (CSD) granted a precautionary measure allowing the players to be re-registered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This development marks a significant turnaround for Barcelona, who had previously been unable to field the two players due to financial fair play regulations. “Both footballers are now at the full disposal of their coach to be selected when desired,” La Liga stated in their official announcement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The resolution of this issue provides a much-needed boost to Barcelona’s squad depth, with Olmo and V\u00edctor now eligible for selection in upcoming fixtures. This outcome represents a victory for Barcelona in their ongoing battle with La Liga over financial regulations and player registration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This afternoon, LALIGA was informed of the Resolution issued by the President of the Higher Sports Council which, without having given LALIGA or the RFEF an opportunity to be heard, granted the precautionary measures requested by FC Barcelona and the players Mr Daniel Olmo Carvajal and Mr Pau V\u00edctor Delgado. This ruling maintains the validity of the players’ licences until a final decision has been made on the appeal filed against the Agreement of the Monitoring Committee of the RFEF\u2013LALIGA Coordination Agreement. In light of this Resolution, LALIGA would like to clarify the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 The Resolution was adopted without having forwarded the appeal to LALIGA or the RFEF, nor granting either party the opportunity to submit their arguments. Therefore, LALIGA is currently unaware of the reasoning set forth by the players and FC Barcelona in the appeal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 LALIGA will thoroughly review the content of the decision with a view to filing the appropriate appeals, while also expressing its complete disagreement with the decision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Apart from the above, the Agreement of the Monitoring Committee of the RFEF-LALIGA Coordination Agreement reflects LALIGA\u2019s earlier decision to deny preliminary licences, and of the RFEF\u2019s decision to deny final licences to the footballers Mr Daniel Olmo and Mr Pau V\u00edctor, as stated in the official record.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 However, the Resolution references certain justifications concerning the players\u2019 right to pursue their sports careers. This is a matter that LALIGA will assess once it has received the relevant documentation.
