The Spanish team, the first La Liga side to react to this case, pointed out that it sets \u201ca worrying precedent\u201d that could \u201cdestabilize the foundations of professional football\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The dance of reactions to the CSD&#8217;s precautionary measure granted to Barca for the registrations of Olmo and Pau V\u00edctor has begun. The first La Liga side to react was Las Palmas, who issued a statement on Thursday afternoon to express their disagreement with the decision of the Superior Sports Council (CSD).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe resolution issued this Wednesday by the Superior Sports Council (CSD) has surprised us unfavorably, and from UD Las Palmas we express our absolute disagreement. We consider that this decision poses a serious danger to the integrity of the competition and sets a worrying precedent that could destabilize the foundations of professional football in our country,\u201d said the islanders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Likewise, Las Palmas has complained about the \u201cunusual celerity without giving place to the hearing or the participation of La Liga and RFEF\u201d. \u201cThis procedure has ignored previous decisions of both the CSD itself and the courts of justice, which generates a sense of arbitrariness incompatible with the principles of transparency and fairness that should govern any process of this type,\u201d it adds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIn addition, the declaration of lack of competence of the Monitoring Commission in this case seems to evidence a worrying lack of knowledge about the operation of the system of prior visas and definitive licenses, which has been previously agreed by the institutions involved.
