The dynamic forward orchestrated the second goal for Harry Kane before capping off the Bavarian rout with a sublime late brace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Kjetil Knutsen&#8217;s Norwegian outfit\u2014who troubled European heavyweights Manchester City and Atletico Madrid last season after knocking out Inter Milan in the playoffs\u2014enjoyed their moments either side of the break. The Scandinavian side had resisted valiantly, but they were dealt a bitter blow when first-choice Russian goalkeeper Nikita Khaikin was forced off through injury. With substitute Julian Lund summoned between the sticks, the dynamic of the contest shifted irrevocably.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In truth, Bayern Munchen already deserved to be in front before the break. Semi-finalists last term and perennial contenders for the crown, Vincent Kompany&#8217;s men pressed relentlessly during the opening period; Joshua Kimmich rattled the woodwork while Jamal Musiala was thwarted by the opposing goalkeeper.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After the restart, however, Bayern put on an absolute masterclass, running riot with goals of all descriptions. The hosts flew out of the blocks, with Jamal Musiala breaking the deadlock on their very first foray forward of the second half.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The second arrived on the hour mark courtesy of a venomous inswinging free-kick from Michael Olise, met emphatically by Harry Kane, who proved typically clinical in front of goal. From that moment on, there was simply no stopping the Munich outfit, who had entered the clash under pressure following a goalless draw in their most recent Bundesliga outing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A wilting Bodo Glimt side conceded a third in the 78th minute when Alphonso Davies pounced on a half-cleared corner and unleashed an unstoppable rocket from distance that Julian Lund barely even saw.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The pick of the bunch, however, was an unadulterated masterpiece from Olise. Kompany rang the changes late on but kept the Frenchman on the pitch\u2014a decision handsomely rewarded.
