According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, the Red Devils have adopted a new strategy for the remainder of the transfer window.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The club had initially been focusing on signing a third central midfielder, with Andrey Santos and Youri Tielemans among the names linked with a move to Old Trafford. However, the hierarchy has now turned its attention to strengthening the defensive unit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A lack of depth at left-back has become a growing concern, as Luke Shaw remains the only established senior option in the squad. As a result, Manchester United have intensified their search for a specialist to provide competition and cover on the left flank.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One of the leading candidates is Lewis Hall, the highly rated Newcastle defender.
