This was a far cry from the dominant Germany side that dismantled Curacao. Julian Nagelsmann\u2019s men, who had already begun to stutter in their narrow 2-1 win over Ivory Coast, suffered a significant reality check as they fell to Ecuador in their final group-stage fixture. It marks a historic milestone for Sebasti\u00e1n Beccacece\u2019s side, who battled relentlessly to book their place in the knockout rounds of the World Cup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sane strikes amidst heated controversy<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The game burst into life almost immediately, with the deadlock broken inside two minutes.
