When it seemed that \u2018Los Blancos\u2019 were about to take the lead in La Liga, they suffered an unexpected defeat away from home against Athletic Bilbao.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Although the \u2018Merengues\u2019 grabbed a late equaliser through Jude Bellingham, a few minutes later a serious mistake by Valverde while playing the ball out from the back led to Athletic Bilbao&#8217;s winning goal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Uruguayan midfielder wanted to apologise through a post on his Instagram account. &#8220;Today was a hard blow, but I take responsibility, I stand up for myself and I apologise. For my teammates and the fans.
