Pep Guardiola has addressed the media ahead of Manchester City’s match against Bayer Leverkusen, speaking about Argentinian youngster Claudio Echeverri and his limited playing time on loan.
Echeverri, 19, has featured for just 240 minutes this season at Leverkusen, sparking speculation that Manchester City might recall him in the January transfer window.
“We always want our loaned players to get plenty of minutes. We rate him very highly as a footballer, but what is happening at Bayer Leverkusen—you’ll have to ask his agent. He will know everything,” Guardiola said.
When pressed on the possibility of ending the loan, the City manager repeated with a smile: “That’s a question for his charming agent.”
