Real Madrid defender Eder Militao will undergo tests on Wednesday after experiencing discomfort in his right adductor during Brazil’s 1-1 friendly against Tunisia. The examination will take place upon his return to Madrid.

Militao, a key figure in Xabi Alonso’s plans at Real Madrid, had played the full 90 minutes against Senegal earlier in the international break and lasted just 60 minutes against Tunisia before being forced off limping.

The problem first appeared early in the game, prompting Brazil coach Carlo Ancelotti to send a substitute to warm up as a precaution.

Despite this, the Brazilian centre-back continued into the second half, only to sustain discomfort after a routine pass. He immediately signalled for the ball to be put out of play before being substituted.

Brazil’s medical team communicated the issue to their Real Madrid counterparts, and the tests at Valdebebas will determine the severity of the muscular problem in the player’s right adductor.
