Alphonso Davies has given reassuring news on the progress of his injury. His return to competition is expected in the second half of the autumn.
Suffering from a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee last March, Alphonso Davies is continuing his rehabilitation. With his return hoped for in the autumn, the left-back from Bayern Munich has given encouraging news during a live broadcast on Twitch.
The Canada international was optimistic about the progress of his injury: “I’m happy. My knee is getting better, my muscles are coming back. So I’m happy with the current situation regarding my injury. I’m happy to be back on the pitch soon. There’s still a bit of a way to go, but for me, it’s soon, given my current situation.”
Reassuring words for the club and its supporters, as Alphonso Davies has been an indispensable element of the Bavarian left flank for several years, one of the best left-backs in the world.
Barring complications, his return to competition is estimated for the second half of the autumn.
