Chelsea have distanced themselves from recent speculation linking them with a move for Alexander Isak, with sources indicating the club are not pursuing a deal for the Newcastle striker.

Despite reports suggesting interest, the Blues have no intention of entering the race. The London side are said to be fully satisfied with their current striker options and are instead focusing their efforts on other key targets.

Talks continue around potential moves for Xavi Simons and Jorrel Hato as they prioritise strengthening in other areas of the pitch.

While Chelsea’s name has circulated in connection with Isak in recent days, those close to the club have made it clear that there is no appetite to proceed. The Swedish international remains admired, but he is not currently part of their transfer plans.

Liverpool, meanwhile, continue to lead the pursuit of Isak. The Merseyside club have maintained contact and are seen as the only serious contenders for the striker should Newcastle open the door to a sale.
