Inter Miami had a golden opportunity to close the gap on MLS leaders Cincinnati, but Lionel Messi’s side were thrashed by the home side in a match that was a nightmare for the Argentine star.
The former Barcelona star had scored a brace in four of his last five MLS games for Inter Miami, but Cincinnati snapped that run to leave the Miami-based side sitting fifth on 38 points, although they still have three games in hand.
