Milan have announced their first summer acquisition: Samuele Ricci arrives from Torino on a permanent deal to bolster Allegri’s midfield.

Milan have officially confirmed their first signing of the summer window, announcing the arrival of Samuele Ricci. Samuele Ricci, the midfielder born in 2001, joins on a permanent transfer from Torino, where he made a name for himself in recent seasons.

Reports suggest that the agreement between the Rossoneri and Torino was struck on the basis of an offer of €23 million plus €2 million in add-ons. The player, meanwhile, has signed a five-year contract with the Devil, expiring in 2030.

Ricci is seen as the natural replacement for Tijjani Reijnders, who moved to Manchester City after two impressive seasons with the Rossoneri.

The young talent, who came through the youth ranks at Empoli where he made his Serie A debut, quickly established himself in the maroon shirt from 2022, becoming a mainstay of the team. He has already earned ten caps for the Italian national team.

Now, with his move to Milan, Ricci is expected to make the leap in quality and become a key figure in Massimiliano Allegri’s project for the new Rossoneri era, which in recent weeks has seen several players depart upon the expiration of their contracts or the end of their loan spells.
