Manchester United have intensified their search for a new striker this summer, placing Hugo Ekitike firmly at the top of their wishlist. The 22-year-old French forward has caught the Red Devils’ attention following a standout season with Eintracht Frankfurt.

Manchester United are the sole club to have officially opened talks with Frankfurt regarding Ekitike, despite widespread speculation linking other Premier League sides such as Chelsea and Liverpool to the young talent.
Ekitike played a key role in Frankfurt’s impressive third-place finish in the Bundesliga last term, stepping up in a campaign that saw them overcome the mid-season departure of Omar Marmoush to Manchester City.

His performances have marked him out as one of Europe’s most promising forwards, making him an ideal target for United as they seek to reinforce their attacking line.

The move for the No.11 comes amid shifting priorities at Old Trafford, with previous interest in other forwards, notably Viktor Gyokeres, cooling amid the Swedish striker’s preference for a move to Arsenal.

As the summer window progresses, all eyes will be on whether Manchester United can secure his services and bolster their squad with fresh firepower ahead of next season’s challenges.
