‘Catalunya Radio’ published a preview of an interview with Joan Garcia, Espanyol goalkeeper and one of the most sought-after players of the moment. The goalkeeper, who is in the running for Barca and the Premier League, said that he will choose ‘the best’ and ‘think’ about his future conscientiously.
Espanyol goalkeeper Joan Garcia spoke about his future and assured that “whatever is decided” this summer, regarding a possible new professional stage away from the club, he will think “a lot with his people, choosing what will be best” for him.
“Catalunya Radio’ published on Tuesday a preview of the interview that will be broadcast on Sunday. In it, the 24-year-old footballer has assessed the information about his future with distance: “In football every now and then news are coming out, but from here to be reality …. It’s not always like that”.
In this sense, the Catalan goalkeeper has said that he is “very calm” and will study his options. Joan Garcia’s contract expires in 2028 and has a release clause of 25 million euros, an amount that Espanyol refer to when asked about the transfer of the player. The Catalan club practically takes his departure this summer for granted.
In recent days, there have been reports linking the goalkeeper with clubs in the English Premier League and also with Barcelona. At Espanyol, as their sporting director Fran Garagarza recently explained, they are not aware of any interest from the Azulgrana club: “There is no firm movement”.
