Barcelona is finalizing the details of the agreement to renew Lamine Yamal. According to Fabrizio Romano, the Catalan club will extend the contract of its young star until June 30,th 2031.
Barcelona cannot imagine a future without Lamine Yamal. That is why the club is preparing the renewal of its star. The meeting with his agent, Jorge Mendes, ended on a good note with all parties pointing to the extension of the contract.
Fabrizio Romano detailed that the No 19 will continue wearing the ‘Cule’ jersey until June 30th, 2031. A strategic move by Joan Laporta to guarantee the presence of his most prized jewel in the next six seasons with, probably, the No 10 on his back.
Jorge Mendes’s good understanding with Barcelona’s president has speeded up the negotiation. Lamine Yamal will sign the agreement on Tuesday, although as he is not yet of legal age, the formalization as such will not come until July 13th.
That is to say, the club will be able to announce his continuity and so on, but it will not be legally reflected until the day of his 18th birthday. A mere curiosity that will not interrupt Joan Laporta’s party to secure the future of his latest generational talent for the next six courses.
