Pedri, scorer of the first goal in the final between Barcelona and Real Madrid, spoke of his team’s resilience to come back from behind in the Copa del Rey ‘Clasico’ at La Cartuja.
Barcelona midfielder Pedri Gonzalez highlighted his side’s resilience after winning the Copa del Rey final 3-2, drawing Real Madrid 1-2 in the 84th minute, and said his team ‘cannot be considered defeated’.
“Before the game we talked about it. In the Super Cup they scored against us and we lifted the result. This team cannot be considered defeated. We have shown that this year,” he told the media after the game.
“We are a young team and even though we are losing we want to win everything. We have incredible ambition,” he added.
In addition, Pedri spoke of the possibility of winning the treble – in addition to the Copa del Rey, La Liga and the Champions League. “It was the first of that famous treble that everyone is talking about and it gives us a lot of confidence for the remaining two titles,” he said.
