Robert Lewandowski, who made the difference in Barca’s victory over Girona, assured that he is in a great moment despite his age and hopes that the team will maintain the same level for the next matches.
Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski, who scored a brace in Sunday’s 4-1 win over Girona, said after the match that “a lot of people talk” about his age (36), but he assured that he feels “very good physically”.
The Polish striker, top scorer in La Liga with 25 goals, stressed in statements to ‘DAZN’ that he sees “no difference” between the current Lewandowski and the one of a few years ago and added that the most important thing is to help the team.
Lewandowski said that Barcelona had “everything under control” in the first half against Girona, “but the team lacked the final pass”, and pointed out that in the second half the Catalan team played “more offensively” and the goals came.
“Sometimes we can’t score in the first few minutes, but we play with patience and we have a plan,” he said, before stressing that reaching 100 goals for Barcelona would be a dream for him. “I’ve a dream and it’s reaching 100 goals with Barcelona. It’d be fantastic.”
