FC Barcelona are still looking for a new destination for Ansu Fati, although it will be up to the Spanish winger to decide whether to leave the club as he has a contract until 2027.
Ansu Fati has never again been as impressive for Barcelona as he was before suffering his serious knee injury. After the 2019/2020 season, the Spanish winger fell down the ‘Cules’ pecking order to the point where he is no longer counted on at the club.
Hansi Flick has no confidence in him, as reflected in his eight appearances this season so far, of which only one has been a starter, without scoring or providing any assists in the 186 minutes he has played.
For this reason, the Catalan club are still open to selling the player and are even looking for possible new destinations for the 22-year-old, who will have to give the green light to his departure as he has a contract until 2027.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Fati could have left the club in January, but decided to stay after rejecting up to four approaches. Should the Spanish winger leave, Barcelona would try to land a new winger.
