Barcelona coach Hansi Flick appeared at a press conference after his team’s convincing victory over Mallorca on matchday 19 of La Liga.
Barcelona returned to winning ways with a 1-5 victory over Mallorca in the 19th La Liga matchday of the season. The ‘Cules’ manager Hansi Flick reflected on his side’s crushing win in his press conference afterwards. He underlined the good performance, in his opinion, of Ferran Torres, who scored, and Lamine Yamal, who provided a trademark assist.
“I am happy with our performance. It’s important for Ferran to score. ‘Lewy’ needed rest, we had to look after him and Ferran has been at a good level. It was not necessary to play with Lewandowski,” he said.
“Offside depends on the line and how we play. Against Las Palmas, we had more chances than them…. The team always gives everything and, today, we took our chances and had more possession. Lamine could have scored in the first half. He generates a lot of things and we need him,” he added.
Speaking about the difference in Barcelona’s level between last month and this one, he admitted that November was a “sh*tty” month for them and that he and the rest of the team are glad it’s over.
