Ronald Araujo is closer to returning. This Thursday, he returned to normal training with the rest of the Barcelona players and aims to reappear in this series of three matches in 10 days that Hansi Flick’s team have to face.
Barcelona’s Uruguayan defender Ronald Araujo, who underwent surgery at the end of July, completed another training session on Thursday with Hansi Flick’s team, who will face three matches in the next 10 days.
The Uruguayan defender underwent surgery in Finland on 22 July for a hamstring injury in his right thigh and has been recovering ever since.
The Barcelona centre-back has been taking part in group sessions since the start of this week and could return to the squad for one of the upcoming games -Betis (7 December), Borussia Dortmund (11) and Leganes (15). As Flick said on the eve of the game against Mallorca, “he is very close to being able to play.”
In Thursday’s session, Andreas Christensen and Ansu Fati, both injured and who are continuing with their respective recovery processes, were still out.
