OFFICIAL: Rodrygo out for two weeks with biceps femoris injury

It is now official that Rodrygo Goes will not play in ‘El Clasico’. Real Madrid have issued a medical statement on Thursday regarding the Brazilian winger, who is suffering from a right femoral biceps injury. He is expected to return between two and three weeks.

In addition to Thibaut Courtois’ known absence for ‘El Clasico’, there is one more. It was to be expected as he limped off against Borussia Dortmund, but it has now been confirmed by the club. We are talking about Rodrygo Goes, who has been diagnosed with “a muscular injury in the right biceps femoris”, as stated in the statement written by Real Madrid on Thursday morning.

Rodrygo is pending evolution, although according to ‘COPE’, the medical services estimate internally that the extent of his injury could be between 15 and 20 days. At least two weeks, so the 23-year-old Brazilian will not be able to play against FC Barcelona at the Santiago Bernabeu on Saturday.

The winger has also been ruled out for the next La Liga clash against Valencia at the Mestalla and for Real Madrid’s clash with Milan in the fourth round of the Champions League. After that, Rodrygo could return on 9th November against Osasuna or be reserved for the international break. Everything will depend on his recovery.

As we said, Real Madrid have already announced on Wednesday that Thibaut Courtois is out with an adductor injury in his left leg. This will open the door for Andriy Lunin, who already played against Lille and Villarreal at the beginning of the month, after the Belgian goalkeeper had to stop due to another muscular problem, then in the abductor of the same limb.
