Militao returns from Brazil training camp due to minor injury

As reported by ‘The Athletic’, Militao arrived in Brazil on Saturday night and underwent tests which revealed a minor muscle injury. The Real Madrid defender will not play for the national team and returned to the Spanish capital in recent hours.

Madrid are not in the mood for upsets. After adding Carvajal, who suffered three fractures in his right knee during the match against Villarreal, to their injury list, ‘Los Blancos’ now have to add Brazilian Eder Militao.

As reported by ‘The Athletic’, the defender arrived on Saturday night in his country to join the ‘Selecao’ training camp and underwent tests that detected a small muscle injury in his left thigh.

Militao will not play in either of his national team’s two matches against Chile and Peru. The aforementioned source indicates that the player travelled to Madrid in recent hours to be treated by the club’s medical services.

For its part, the newspaper ‘AS’ has reported that the ‘Merengue’ team is upset about the unnecessary trip made by the Brazilian, as the club informed the CBF that he had some minor discomfort in his left thigh.
