Barcelona and Nike are close to finalising a sponsorship deal with the American brand. Nike will pay 140 million euros for each of the next 10 seasons.

Green light for the agreement between Barcelona and Nike, the sportswear brand. According to ‘Marca’, they will close in the next few days the new sponsorship agreement of the Catalan team.

Nike will pay 140 million euros for each of the 10 seasons of the new agreement. But the sports brand will pay an advance of 150 million euros, which means that the club will receive 125 million euros per season.

The current contract with Nike, which Bartomeu signed in 2016, is expected to end in 2028 and consists of a €50m fixed payment that could rise to €100m depending on objectives.

Barcelona wanted to renegotiate a new contract and even took the multinational to court. Since 2021, the club has sued Nike four times for breach of contract, and in all of them, the Barcelona Court of Appeal has ruled in favour of the American company.
