Real Madrid trained on Thursday in preparation for Saturday’s game against Real Sociedad. The new addition to Carlo Ancelotti’s side was the presence of Eder Militao, Jude Bellingham and Aurelien Tchouameni with the rest of the squad, as they look to make the most of their chances of being present at Anoeta.
Eder Militao, Aurelien Tchouameni and Jude Bellingham returned to training on Thursday after recovering from injury and are in contention to play in Real Madrid’s return to La Liga when they host Real Sociedad on Saturday at 21.00 (19.00 GMT) in San Sebastian, with David Alaba, Eduardo Camavinga and Dani Ceballos all out through injury.
Following the arrival of the last internationals to return home after the break, Ukrainian goalkeeper Andriy Lunin and Brazilian strikers Vinicius, Rodrygo Goes and Endrick, Carlo Ancelotti added the good news of the return to the squad of three important players in his first team squad.
Militao, who was unable to play against Brazil due to a muscular problem in the rectus anterior muscle of his right leg, could avoid a problem in the centre of defence, where Ancelotti can only count on Antonio Rudiger, who even turned down the call-up to the German national team.
French midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni had to leave the French national team training camp with a problem in his left foot that has remained a scare. In a week and a half of recovery he has improved and according to EFE sources at the club, he had a good feeling in Thursday’s test.
England’s Jude Bellingham, meanwhile, is the biggest question mark for the Italian coach until the last minute. He returns from a major injury to the plantar fascia muscle in his right leg suffered on 23 August.
He was expected to be out for a month, which he wants to reduce. Still, he is a doubt for the game against Real Sociedad, and the Madrid coach must decide whether to delay his return for the Champions League opener next Tuesday against Stuttgart at the Santiago Bernabeu.
