Fermin Lopez’s injury is confirmed. Barcelona announced in a medical statement that the player, who was released from his commitments with the Spanish U21 national team, has a muscle injury in his left thigh, saying goodbye to the rest of September.
Barcelona midfielder Fermin Lopez will be out for around three weeks with a left thigh muscle injury, the Catalan club’s medical services confirmed on Wednesday.
Fermin was called up by coach Santi Denia for Spain Under-21s’ European Championship qualifiers against Scotland and Hungary, but the 21-year-old had to leave the training camp with muscle soreness after the first training session on Monday.
Once in Barcelona, Fermin underwent medical tests this morning which confirmed the injury to his left thigh. His place in La Roja’s squad has been taken by midfielder Pablo Torre.
Barcelona have games against Girona, Villarreal and Getafe in La Liga and Monaco in the Champions League.
