Madrid rubbing their hands as Bayern give up on Davies renewal

Bayern Munich honorary president Uli Hoeness said the club will not offer Alphonso Davies any more money in his renewal offer. His contract expires in 2025 and Real Madrid are keeping a close eye on him.

Alphonso Davies is getting closer to Real Madrid as each day goes by. The Canadian full-back’s contract with Bayern Munich expires in June 2025 and his renewal with the German club is a long way off.

The latest disagreement between club and player came on Sunday. Bayern’s honorary president Uli Hoeness criticised Alphonso Davies’ attitude towards his possible renewal.

“We told him very clearly that we would let the contract expire if he didn’t extend it. He won’t get any more money,” Hoeness said of the Canadian at a public appearance on the occasion of SV Seligenporten’s 75th anniversary.

Thus, Davies’ potential arrival at Real Madrid in the summer of 2025, without payment, increases. The full-back has been a main target of Real Madrid since his breakthrough at Bayern Munich.
