Barcelona president Joan Laporta was questioned by a ‘Cule’ fan about the possibility of signing Nico Williams. “We will try,” he said from his car.
The Nico Williams transfer saga is one of the most active in this first month of the market. Barcelona are insisting on all fronts to make a signing that they are currently unable to make due to financial reasons, but they are not giving up.
Joan Laporta has already spoken on several occasions about the possibility of landing the Athletic Club winger, revalued after his great European Championship and with a 58 million euro termination clause.
The last time, so far, that Laporta has referred to the Athletic player was on Sunday. The Barcelona president was approached from a distance in his car by a Barcelona fan, who asked him if he was going to sign Nico Williams.
“We will try,” said the ‘Cule’ president about Nico Williams, who has not closed the door on a move away this summer. In the meantime, the player is enjoying his holidays after winning the European Championship.
