The departure of Alvaro Morata has left Atletico with a free spot up front. According to ‘AS’, Borussia Dortmund’s Niclas Fullkrug could join the list of candidates for the position. For around 30 million, he could swap the Bundesliga for La Liga.
Niclas Fullkrug is considering leaving Borussia Dortmund this summer, despite having a contract with the Aurinegrins until 2026. ‘AS’, based on reports in the German press, claims that the player is unhappy with the arrival of Guirassy, which is why he is considering looking for a club where he feels he can play a leading role.
Atletico, who have a free space in attack after the departure of Morata, are keeping a close eye on 31-year-old Fullkrug. The player cost Borussia Dortmund around 15 million a year ago and it is estimated that he could leave for around 30 million.
Fullkrug has performed very well at the Euros, so he would be an interesting option for the ‘Colchoneros’. Atletico could afford the payment without problems and he is a player of Diego Pablo Simeone’s profile.
The list of candidates for Morata’s vacancy is long. In fact, Fullkrug has been the latest to join the agenda. Others such as Dani Olmo, Julian Alvarez or Dovbyk have been mentioned before. We will see which one is finally chosen.
