Juan Diego Molina, ‘Stoichkov’, was presented this afternoon as a new Deportivo Alavés player until 2027. The first thing the player wanted to express in his first appearance as a blue and white was his gratitude to the sports management “for the opportunity to play in the First Division, which is a dream for me”. The sports director himself has assured that Stoichkov “is more than prepared to compete at this level” and that he is “an ideal piece to continue growing in our project”.
Stoichkov, nicknamed as such because his father was a big fan of the former Barcelona player from the 90s, has shown himself to be very excited about this new challenge and convinced of his abilities after having three remarkable seasons and scoring 45 goals for Eibar. “I am not afraid. With the enthusiasm I have and the desire I have, I think I can adapt well,” said the player, who acknowledged that the atmosphere experienced in Mendizorrotza every game has been one of the reasons for choosing Deportivo Alavés as his destination. “The atmosphere here is a spectacle.”
