Atletico Madrid confirmed that Robin Le Normand is not suffering from any serious head injury, following tests to which the centre-back has undergone.

Good news for Atletico Madrid in terms of injuries. After having to leave the pitch due to a blow to the head, Robin Le Normand does not suffer any serious injury.

“Substituted with an incisocontuse head injury but especially as a precaution after having suffered a major blow that kept him off the pitch for more than 2 months, Le Normand underwent tests both in Barcelona, just after the blow, and later in Madrid, both yielding the same diagnosis,” Atletico Madrid said.

This diagnosis is that the tests “rule out any serious injury” of the Frenchman, international for Spain, and that “the evolution of his symptoms will mark his return to competition”.

Thus, Atletico do not rule out his presence in Wednesday’s match against Barcelona in the Copa del Rey, although it is expected that he will not be able to play and can feature against Sevilla, since Gimenez is out of action in La Liga.
