A player West Ham United are keen to offload wants to move to a club in La Liga and has rejected Saudi Arabia as an option.
West Ham are looking to trim their squad before the window closes after a summer of heavy recruitment which could also still see Carlos Soler arrive.
The Hammers have been looking to offload defender Nayef Aguerd, but he has turned down Al-Ittihad as an option, according to French outlet Foot Mercato.
Aguerd has decided that he wants to play his football in La Liga.
He has interest from Villarreal and Real Sociedad, and talks are ongoing to find an agreement.
Both Spanish sides have offered to take the centre-back on loan with an option to buy.
West Ham are prepared to sign off on a loan for Aguerd, but they want an obligation to buy in any agreement rather than an option.
