La Liga outfit Celta Vigo have this week announced a fresh addition to the club’s defensive ranks.
The player all set to line out in sky blue this coming season? Marcos Alonso.
The name of defender Alonso has of course proven a prominent one in the Spanish media across much of the summer to date.
This comes after the former Chelsea man entered the free agency pool, following the expiration of his contract terms with Barcelona.
A whole host of clubs, in turn, are understood to have expressed an interest in Alonso’s services.
And, as alluded to above, with mere days remaining in the transfer window, one such outfit have announced the signing of the 33-year-old left-back.
As per a post across their social media platforms late on Wednesday, Celta Vigo have snapped Alonso up for the season ahead.
Further details of the agreement struck between the parties are expected to be unveiled over the coming days.
