Real Madrid youngster Nico Paz looks as if he will be on the way out this summer, but his destination is yet to be resolved. With Arda Guler, Brahim Diaz, Rodrygo Goes, Jude Bellingham and Vinicius Junior all ahead of him in the pecking order, his chance of progression at the Santiago Bernabeu looks limited.
Serie A side Como have been credited with the most interest in Paz, and as per Fabrizio Romano, continue in talks for him. Previously, Relevo revealed that Los Blancos are asking €10m for 50% of his rights, meaning they would retain half of any future sale.
Meanwhile La Liga sides Girona and Alaves have both enquired about the terms of a deal for the Argentine youth international, as did Leganes at the start of the summer. The Madrid-based outlet also note that Cesc Fabregas has Dani Guindos amongst his staff, a former Real Madrid youth coach of Paz’s, which could aid their push to sign him.
Paz will be the latest case of a talented youngster with no room to grow at the Bernabeu, but in recent years, their strategy of including sell-on fee clauses has worked well for them. They still have the advantage in signing, or are set to make a profit on, Takefusa Kubo and Miguel Gutierrez should they move on. Equally, it benefitted them when they brought back Fran Garcia from Rayo Vallecano at half-price.
