Oriol Romeu has returned to Girona, where he will play on loan from FC Barcelona.
Oriol Romeu after his spell at Southampton and his return to La Liga, shone in the 2022-23 season at Girona under Michel Sanchez, playing 34 games and being a key player for the Spanish coach, which led his former team Barcelona to look at him again.
His season with Los Cules went unnoticed and with Xavi Hernandez, he did not get the prominence he expected and the pressure he was under, which he has confirmed, but after this poor season Girona have returned to reclaim his services after his sale and have brought him back.
The former Barcelona youth player has already joined Girona’s training sessions with his former teammates and some of the additions from this summer transfer window, where he will play on loan for the Azulgrana team that bought him last summer.
