MANU SÁNCHEZ, TALENT AND RELIABILITY FOR THE LEFT BACK OF THE ALBIAZUL

Deportivo Alavés has reached an agreement with Real Club Celta de Vigo for the loan of footballer Manu Sánchez to the Vitoria team until June 2025. The young left-back, trained at Atlético de Madrid, arrives in Vitoria after establishing himself as one of the most promising players in national football.

Manuel Sánchez de la Peña (Madrid, 24 August 2000) is a footballer who came through the youth ranks of Atlético de Madrid, a club where he stood out until making his debut with the first team in the 19/20 campaign, in which he played five league games and one Copa del Rey game. In the 21/22 season he went on loan to CA Osasuna, where he shone for three seasons until his signing for RC Celta was confirmed. With the team from Vigo he has played 28 games spread over 1893 minutes this last season.

At 23 years of age, he has already played 112 games in the First Division, where he has provided 16 assists and scored one goal. He has also been an under-21 international, playing in the qualifying and final phase of the European Championship last summer, in which the national team finished second after losing in the final to England.

Manu Sánchez has landed at Mendizorrotza to bring talent, reliability and self-confidence to the Albiazul team and will join the Alaves immediately, under the orders of Luis García Plaza.
