Hugo Novoa has become a new Deportivo Alavés player until 2029 after the agreement reached between the Albiazul entity and the German RasenBallsport Leipzig for the transfer of the Galician footballer.
A 21-year-old right-back with great offensive potential (24/01/2003, Bertamiráns-Ames, A Coruña), Novoa is an under-21 international with the Spanish national team. The Galician, who arrives from RasenBallsport Leipzig, has played for the German club for the last five seasons. With the German side he made his debut in the Bundesliga and the Champions League in 21-22, in addition to winning the German Cup in May 2022 and becoming the youngest scorer in the club’s history. In 2023 he played on loan at Swiss side FC Basel, with whom he reached the semi-finals of the Conference League and last season Villarreal B was his destination in LALIGA HYPERMOTION.
The young player arrives in Vitoria-Gasteiz to make his debut in the top flight of national football and will immediately join the Albiazul team to put himself under the orders of Luis García Plaza and meet his new teammates.
