With the imminent departure of the Brazilian midfielder heading to the ‘Gunners’, the English club shifts its focus in the transfer market and evaluates a Danish prospect.

The negotiations between Arsenal and Newcastle regarding Bruno Guimaraes are very close to being finalized, with expectations that the Brazilian midfielder will pull on the ‘Gunners’ shirt in the coming days.

Initially tipped as the favorite to fill the void left by Guimaraes at the ‘Magpies’, Danilo from Botafogo has lost ground in the English club’s preferences, which has now redirected its efforts toward another target. As reported by ‘ESPN’, the new name on their radar is Victor Froholdt, a 20-year-old Danish youngster who has been making waves wearing the Porto shirt.

The player has attracted close attention from the Premier League thanks to his standout performances on Portuguese soil. The release clause stipulated in his contract is set at 85 million euros, a figure quite close to what the North English club is set to rake in from the sale to Arsenal.

To secure the transfer of the Brazilian midfielder, the club’s board agreed to shell out 70 million pounds in fixed fees, plus an additional 10 million tied to performance-related add-ons.
