Bayern Munich centre-back Dayot Upamecano told ‘L’Equipe’ that he has not yet made a decision about his future, but that he is grateful that clubs are interested in him.

The future of Dayot Upamecano is one of the few concerns Bayern Munich currently has, as the German side is statistically the team in the best form in Europe after its incredible start to the season.

One of the key players in their defence, the French centre-back’s contract expires in 2026, and in recent weeks it was reported that negotiations with the club for a possible renewal had stalled, sparking rumours of a possible departure as a free agent

These rumours have been fuelled by the player himself, who, speaking to ‘L’Equipe’, admitted that he will make the right decision for him and that he is happy at Bayern, although grateful to be on the radar of other clubs.

We’ll make the right decision. I’m well advised. I’ve always said I feel comfortable at Bayern. I have a great coach and teammates. I’m under contract at Bayern. I’m very grateful if there are clubs interested in me,” he said.

The French centre-back has been key for Bayern head coach Vincent Kompany so far this season, making 15 official appearances, 14 as a starter.
