A section of the stands at Anoeta chanted ‘Griezmann, die’, precisely the same chant that Thibaut Courtois heard in the derby between Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid. Diaz de Mera did not note it in the referee’s report.
Antoine Griezmann did not have a good return to San Sebastian, the city where he rose to fame. The Frenchman was shouted at and chanted at during the match against Real Sociedad.
El Chiringuito’ captured some of those moments in which part of the Anoeta crowd chanted “Griezmann, die”, specifically during the first half, after a foul on the Frenchman by Kubo. There were also chants against the Atletico ultras.
However, these chants are not included in the referee’s report by Diaz de Mera, which does not indicate any incidence in the section on the public, where this type of manifestation is recorded.
All this, moreover, in a weekend and a week marked by incidents involving the ultras, like those of Atletico in the derby against Real Madrid.
