Bayer Leverkusen winger Alejandro Grimaldo told ‘COPE’ that his “dream” is to play in Spain and that Real Madrid is a “big” club.

Alejandro Grimaldo is another of the names that have recently been reported as potential signings that Real Madrid are considering to reinforce their defense.

‘Los Blancos’ have already announced the arrival of Dean Huijsen and the signing of Trent Alexander-Arnold looks set to be confirmed soon by the Spanish club, although they will not be the only ones to join Los Merengues this summer.

Real Madrid want to reinforce their defense with one more signing and Benfica’s Alvaro Carreras and Grimaldo are the two names on the Madrid club’s radar for the left-back position.

The Spain international spoke about reports that Real Madrid are interested in signing him in an interview with ‘COPE’, stating that his goal is to play for a “big” club like Real Madrid.

“Real Madrid is a big club. I have the goal of playing in a big club. I’ve had two incredible years at Leverkusen, but every player has his dreams. My club knows that my dream is to go to Spain,” he said.

The Spanish winger, who has a contract with Leverkusen until June 2027, assured that he also has friends in the ‘Merengue’ dressing room. “I have friends in Real Madrid, like Carvajal and Asencio,” he added.
